8-step Health Promotion Program
A unique 8-step Health Promotion Program of the ‘Atostogų parkas’ is designed for those who want to relax, regain energy and enhance their immunity. After this program, you will feel fresher, healthier and strengthen your energy more swiftly.
In the 8-step program, every single step cleverly changes other step in particular order created by specialists. During this program, the human body systems are activated, properly prepared for the physical activities and physical loads, which are replaced by pleasant rest breaks. The muscles, blood circulation, lymphatic systems are trained, the resistance of the immune system to common cold diseases is stimulated, toxic substances from the body are eliminated and useful minerals are absorbed. After all 8 steps, a person feels light muscle tiredness, less pain in the joints and muscles, reduced psychological tension and stress, improved mood and sleep, also the body invaded by the wave of energy.
Step 1 - Kneipp Track (4 times)
This method of health promotion was created by Sebastian Kneipp originated from Bavaria. A young cleric became ill with tuberculosis which was difficult to cure in the 19th century, noticed that bathing in cold water helped him to recover his vitality and energy and even overcome this serious illness. Walking on the Kneipp track will improve your blood circulation and help you strengthen the immune system. The Kneipp track is the contrast of the cold and warm water for your feet, which at the same time are massaged with stones lying under the water.
Step 2 - Workout in the water and/or Aqua bike (30 minutes)
A workout in the water helps prevent damage to the joints, bones or muscles. This is a great way to strengthen the body without renewing the trauma. In the water, heart rate is reduced by about 10 percent. During workouts in the water, exercises are more intense, but with a lower heart rate, thus improving cardiovascular endurance. There are no real feel of pain of joints or discomfort when riding an Aqua bike. This bike is a great alternative to people who have experienced traumas, which have limited their mobility and movements.
Step 3 – Hydro-massage pool (15 minutes)
Hydro-massage is a full body massage with air bubbles in 36-37 degrees’ warm water. Water stimulates the skin receptors; air bubbles stimulate the muscles; the massage soothes the central nervous system. Hydro-massage helps to accelerate metabolic processes in the body. In addition, this massage improves performance of lymphatic system, improves blood circulation and helps to heal faster after joints or muscles illnesses. Hydro-massage also effectively helps to destroy cellulite, reduces stretching of the muscles as well as stimulates the body. After the hydro-massage, you will feel very energetic.
Step 4 – Salty steam sauna (5-15 minutes)
Steam bath ‘Salt Sauna’ is a great way to cleanse the body from toxins and slag accumulated and to provide your body with useful trace elements. When the body is warmed up and starts sweating, scrub gently your body with salt deposited in the sauna with steam. Stay in the steam sauna for 5 to 15 minutes until the salt dissolves on the body. Enjoy the benefits of salt in this extremely humid steam sauna. In the presence of high salt concentrations, the osmotic effect occurs - metabolic fluids penetrate the skin to a more salt-saturated area, and thus the body cleanses from slags and the skin is also supplied with trace elements. This steam sauna is recommended for those having poor sleep, respiratory problems and slow metabolism.
Step 5 - Sports pool (15 minutes)
While swimming, the muscles of the entire body are working, while the joints have no load, so the probability of injuries and sprains is minimal. Swimming is also a great activity to get rid of unwanted weight while moving in the water burns more calories than running. Different swimming techniques can help you consume from 60 to 150 calories in 10 minutes, while 10 minutes of jogging - 100 calories. Regular swimming has a huge positive effect on cardiovascular work. By constantly attending the pool, the heart muscle tissue becomes stronger, the heart volume increases and its work becomes more efficient. The external water pressure activates the circulatory system and the return of the blood to the heart.
Step 6 – Amber sauna “Saules” (20 minutes)

The sauna pleasant smells of resin, the human body through the skin and by inhalation more easily absorb the useful properties of amber: stimulates metabolic processes, suppresses various inflammation, improves blood circulation.
Step 7 - Body wrap with Sapropel (30 minutes)
Sapropel - Mud with healing properties is rich in organic and mineral substances, which are easily absorbed by the human body. The lipids contained in it have anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, anti-inflammatory properties and stimulate skin cells. Sapropel helps maintain healthy skin and muscle tone as well as strengthens the immune and nervous systems. Sapropel also helps to overcome anemia, stress, and depression symptoms.
Step 8 – Procedure “Sea of Minerals” with certified natural, high mineralization water (20 minutes)
Certified high mineralization water (80g/l dissolved mineral salts) is unique, enriched with minerals and healing properties which positively affects the condition of cardiovascular, neural, bone, and muscle systems; it helps to fight hypertension, psoriasis, dermatitis, and recover after injuries. After this procedure, it is recommended to avoid taking the shower for at least 30 min. It is recommended to stay in the geothermal water for no longer than 20 minutes.
