We invite children to learn to swim, to improve their swimming skills so that they can feel safe in the water.

Training takes place 2 times a week. 1 month subscription - 8 workouts.

Swimming is not just a sport, but a vital skill. When learning to swim, a child is more self-confident, able and able to help others.

During the classes, children learn proper breathing and swimming techniques. 4 types of swimming are taught: freestyle, butterfly, backstroke and breaststroke. Children's physical fitness is strengthened, self-confidence is developed. All students of the "Holiday Park" Children's Swimming School are introduced to the rules of safe behavior in and around the water.

Professional swimming trainers work with children.

Children's swimming school training starts on OCTOBER 3. 

  • Beginners group on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 5:15 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.
  • Advanced group on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6:15 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.

Attention! The first lesson - children gather for 30 minutes. earlier. The duration of the swimming lesson is 45 minutes.

While your child improves in the swimming school, you can enjoy the space of water and saunas.

A reminder of what we recommend to have with your child when coming to the pool:

  • medical certificate (form 079/a);
  • tights / swimsuit;
  • swimming cap;
  • swimming goggles;
  • šlepetes;
  • towel;
  • hygiene items.

Why is it worthwhile to teach a child to swim? "Swimming is not only a fun and educational pastime, but also a health-enhancing and strengthening activity," says Kristina Ruigė, a trainer who teaches children to swim.

"Children up to the age of fourteen learn to swim very quickly. The most important thing is for the child to feel that the water is holding him, then the fear disappears", says K. Ruigė and continues to tell how such training takes place.

According to the coach, children who do not know how to swim are first taught to float on the water, then with the help of various exercises movements with legs and arms are introduced. On average, after 8-10 sessions, a child can swim independently with the supervision of a coach. According to the swimming coach, children who swim 20 meters independently can be classified as advanced.

K. Ruigė says that swimming is especially useful for children: during it, the whole body is strengthened and hardened, during activities in the water the cardiovascular system improves, lung volume increases, and posture is strengthened. The coach says that children who regularly exercise in water remain more resistant to colds.

According to K. Ruigė, the easiest way for children to learn to swim is in the pool, because the distance can be accurately measured in the pool, training does not depend on weather conditions.

K. Ruigė teaches children to swim at the recreation and wellness center "Holiday Park" located in Palanga. Here, all pools are heated, their temperature is 28-38° C. Children who do not know how to swim will be taught in hydromassage pools (whirlpools), the depth of which is only 0.9 m.
Beginners and advanced players will be trained in a sports pool with a depth of 1.4-2 m.
