Kinesio taping

Kinesio taping is a popular rehabilitation procedure that is performed using special thin, adhesive tapes called kinesio tapes. These bands come in a variety of colors and patterns, which gives the psycho-emotional effect of color therapy. The tape itself is elastic in its longitudinal direction. It is made of cotton with a little lycra. The lower surface has a specially shaped pattern coating with medical grade acrylic adhesive, the adhesiveness of which is activated by body temperature. The band is not thick and reproduces the thickness of the human epidermis, and also does not limit the range of motion, is waterproof, so the therapeutic effect lasts 24 hours a day. Kinesio tape can be worn on the body for 2-5 days. This method allows the body to heal itself without hindering movement.

By irritating different receptors, the strip reduces pain through the sensory somatic system and, by microscopically lifting the skin, facilitates the flow of lymph.
